Meet Karen Miller, Your Trusted Safeguarding Consultant

Karen has more than 25 years experience of frontline safeguarding practice in health and social care working at a senior level as a Head of Safeguarding for the NHS. Karen is a qualified nurse and midwife and has a PhD in psychology with a special interest in impact of childhood trauma on mental health.

Karen has worked closely with education establishments and many charities to ensure their organisations fulfill their commitment to safeguarding fully.

Karen has contributed to high-profile child abuse investigations and has been a government advisor on safeguarding policy. Karen has the ability to bring safeguarding matters sensitively and effectively to the forefront of daily practice.

Karen is a member of the Association of Child Protection Professionals
